Personally I could not care one iota as to who wins it....

My prediction though is...

Norway. They'll clean up on the Scandanavian votes, are reasonably neutral politically so will pick up a few more from Northern Europe and token points from the 'stans and balkans before they all give the big points to their mates (same mates they were bombing the crap out of a few years back)

I don't watch it ever. Wife does every single year.

I've not watched this in many a year, it holds no interest at all.

But I am surprised that you think that the voting is "politically driven"
Surly not

:D

The question is not who will win but will we get more than 10 votes!

Earplugs - check
Remote control with extra large OFF switch - check
Good book - check
Beer - check

OK I'm set.

Didn't even realise it was on.... until the wife just switched over to watch it. Time to catch up on some editing...... in another room :exit:

Does terry wogan still do the sarcastic commentary? That's the only reason it was ever worth watching

According to the hype on radio two, recently,
they have switched from Irish wit to Scottish wit, in the form of Ken Bruce.

Doesn't Graham Norton do the BBC's coverage these days?

Some cracking talent on this year.

Waddya mean, the sound is turned off.

:D

Graham Norton on Romania : "Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should " :)

Bonny Tyler...cringe factor 10 oh my god ....yeh the curiosity got the better of me :-D

My very low street cred has hit rock bottom as I'm watching :bonk:
Forget the song...have good looking girls and guys wearing as little as possible and you're getting votes.....for the first time in Eurovision history I can see us finishing on a minus score :shake:

A Ukrainian Cheryl Cole is on now

So we have a 7 foot tall Igor dressed as a centurion dropping some girl off, and a bloke dancing inside a perspex box.

Is it me?

Greece and Norway for me...

Funny how those that never watch think its crap, but those of us who do actually watch think its great.

I must say if all the women look like Zlata from the Ukraine , I'm emigrating there ASAP.

It looks like it could be VERY close this year, some really good stuff and few total duffers.

I have many years of experience :D

Bonnie Tyler..Lost in Sweden.

Zlata Ognevich for Ukraine ....Bonnie Tyler for UK .... !!!!

Out of interest ,why are the UK entrants for the last couple of yrs washed up has beens ?

Anyone......?

I'm guessing that they were trying "tried and tested"
As the young wanna'be's we all failures in the past?

(Epic fail either way really :D)

It was terrible and I chose to ignore it :D

But while we are on that subject, and as I have said before,
Bonnie Tyler,
I used to quite fancy her a few years ago.
In fact, I even went as far as to buy a Sat Nav, with her voice on it.

I wasn't very happy with it, I must admit :(
It kept telling me to turn around,
and every now and then it would fall apart.

Probably our selection process is at fault, the people who pick our act don't seem to understand this is a young person show now, most of yesterday's act are under 30 and winners of TV talent shows, and the public vote is done in Europe by text and apps, not normally what bonnie or englberts fans will use.

Another issue is that it has to be sung LIVE, no auto tune or pitch correction, which kind of rules out many of the UK young "talent"

Young artist think a one hit wonder off the back off pop idol is a career, and believe euro vision is a joke, pity they don't look at past unknown singers who enter Eurovision, 125 million people watching sing can boost a career no end.

Dana, who's had a 20 album career
Celine Dion - 200 million albums sold so far
And of course ABBA

Many other acts have had large success in Europe and across the world too.
