ETTL Triggers.

They're not officially on sale yet (Sept 30th).

Phottix have a good rep though and I would take a punt and expect them to be okay, but who knows.

Why not get a set and tell us? :D

There's a guy on AV Forums selling a set of PW (1 x minitt1 and 2 x flextt5) for £300 - imagine there would be other second hand availability of PWs too.

I would much rather go with those at price than the phottix ones.

yongnuo st-e2

same setup as the canon st-e2, works on IR I think

never had a problem with shooting in daylight though- remember this is england, not texas

According to Rob Galbraith.com, the Odins are scheduled to be $330 (£211) a set with extra receivers at $130 (£83).

The only seller that lists them on Ebay is dzone and they're charging £228/£105 (plus duty if they get caught on the way over here), that's an awful lot of money for a set of 'cheap' Chinese triggers.......

Slightly out. They went on Sale September 20th and my set were delivered on Monday.

Went out in Manchester with a model last night to give them a quick try out, and even though it is still very early days they appear to be working well.

That's good news Kev :)

E-TTL triggers don't have a great rep in general and folks are wary of shelling out 200-odd quid on something completely untried, but if they work as advertised, these Odins are half the price of anything else that works.

Care to post a bit more on your first impressions? :)

I trust you guys are not operating outside the rules,
and trading via PM's?

Please keep all transactions / questions ect visible in the thread.

Transaction was done over on AV forums where the for sale thread is.

I'll leave someone else to man up and sample the Odins. They look fantastic and the on flash controller looks alot slicker than the pocket-wizard zone controler, but at the end of the day 320 quid is alot for an untested product :o
