Since I got my Dell all in one computer 3+ years ago I have ran an ethernet cable to it with no problem at all. It was a simple case of plug and play.
Last week I took out a new deal with BT internet. They sent out a new BTHUB 5 (even though I already have one). So this morning I thought I would just plug in the new one as the old one is 3 years old.
Now I know I can put the old one back and plug everything in as it was. But I really want to know why this new one isn't working.
I've called BT, they don't know (can't help). Reset everything. Turned off/on everything, but the problem remains.
With the new hub all wifi devices are working. The xbox is connected via a ethernet cable and that works. It's just my computer I'm having the problem with.
On windows 8.1.
Wifi works.
On Conection it says Ethernet limited and will not connect via the cable
Everything is exactly the same as it has been for the last 3 years (cables etc). So why now the problem?
