Essex Locations

I've driven along it a few times, but it's never entered my head to photograph it. Perhaps I should pay more attention. I sometimes (rarely) go to nearby Thorndon Country Park to walk the dog, but as I usually approach from the boring end of The Avenue maybe I don't see what you see. I might go and take a look this week. :) Shame the weather is poo :(

Chris, I'm interested in visiting All Saints Church at Berners Roding... any tips on how to get there?

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions on this thread. Today I visited the All Saints church at Berners Roding and St. Andrews Church in Greensted. Both very interesting to photograph and highly recommend. Door to Berners was locked but had the place to myself for entire time I was there, and Greensted was quite busy both inside and out. A very good set of photos from Berners Roding on 28DL (not by me I hasten to add!):

Ta,

Sorry to bump an old thread but this come up on Google search :)

Which end of Thorndon is the better place for photos?. I know of the A128 entrance and the one near Fords.

I'm also only 5 mins from Lakeside. Any other places around here would be great. :)

I'm in Thurrock, just by 5 bells, and one tree hill is good to capture. It's quite a moody woods once you get into the heart of it. It's part of langdon hills and can be accessed really easily.

The original coordinates are correct, but google maps is doing something odd with the link. Try this link instead, with a balloon drawn at the right place.

I decided to try HDR yesterday so i went to this place to take some pictures. I found the place and took a number of shots. There are many trees around the church so it was difficult to get the full church in view.

The only problem was that when i got there i changed the settings on my camera (60D) to shoot RAW+JPG but when i got home i found that only the first 12 shots were RAW+JPG and the rest were JPG. I must have somehow changed the settings accidentally while setting the AEB for the shots :bonk:

I will be going back again today or tomorrow. :)
