Error message in Bridge

Using Bridge to view and sort pics and I get an error message come up,

Error the operation could not be completed.
Not enough storage is available to complete this operation.

My question is what storage is it refering, to and how do I fix the problem.
 
check you have free space on your main hard drive and the media the images are stored on
 
I have 16 GB left on my operating hard drive
And 180 GB on my external hard drive that the pics are stored on
 
After reading some if the posts in the link I have gone to cache in bridge and purged cache of thumbnails. I dont know if this will make a difference
 
if it was win7 I would have suggested compatibility mode but that doesn't apply in your case.
