error 1 on new 80d

just got my 80d yesterday and all was ok then when i took a few photo's with the tamron 150-600 , i have just tried taking a photo with the same lens in live view and i have got the error after one shot.
i Know its a communication error between the camera and lens but when i have turned the camera off it says recording remaining images:1 and the circle thingy is turning round
is it safe to remove the battery because it doesn't look like its going to turn off by itself

If it's still doing it 10 minutes in I would say yes. You may lose any images not saved to the SD card though. But yes.. turn it off and on again.

If you are still getting the communication error after that clean the connection points on the camera and lens (rub them with an eraser if you have one to hand).

as soon as i opened the battery door the camera knocked itself off and is fine again now and will even take photos with the same lens with no error thanks
