Thought I would pop in and say Hi!

I'm very new to this photography malarky....i decided on a whim (sp?) last weekend to get a camera and take up photography....and have now purchased a camera (its currently being delivered, so not got it yet!)

I'll be working with an Olympus E400 with 2 lenses, ED 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 and a
ED 40-150mm 1:4.0-5.6.

I'm pretty excited...any advice/help/critique...more than welcome!

Hi Samuel and welcome:wave:

Olympus glass is excellent - enjoy:thumbs:

Best advise IMO is get out a play try and use the manual modes as much as possible as it will help you in the long run

and welcome to TP were a friendly and helpful bunch so once you've been out to play post some picture :)

:welcome: , and as above , get out there and get shooting , try and find a duck to shoot first , its kind of a ritual :p , most of all , have fun , dont forget , beauty is in the eye of the beholder , if you like it then who cares what people say

Welcome to TP from another Olympus user :)
After a while with an E410, I looked at others for my upgrade and still settled for another Olympus (E620) :)

Thanks guys!

I got that particular camera because it was being sold from someone at work, and was a hell of a lot cheaper than anything else I looked at!

I should be getting it tommorrow, so may well go out one evening to take some snaps.....and already have a trip to the Nature Reserve planned for the weekend!
