Ok this week when the weathers nice im going to photograph my girlfriend in some various places, e.g train tracks, park, beach, in old buildings etc, I treally want to get a few corkers. Will my D300 with the Sb-800 be enough? or do i need to get a refector or anything else to make the shots even better?!

Thanks for the help and advice in advance!:)
 
Well they will be enough, unless you want to spend more money :lol:

If you used the D300's pop-up flash as a commander you could always use the SB-800 off camera. For that you'd probably want to get a light stand and hotshoe mount unless you can take someone else with you as well.

DON'T.

Over two hundred people a year are killed on railway tracks in Britain each year. Whilst it's true that many are probably suicides, many of them were just caught out because trains move very fast and can be susprisingly quiet. And it's not helped by the fascination so many irresponsible and unimaginative photographers have with using train tracks as a location. It makes kids think they're cool and blinds them to the dangers.

And it's such a cliche anyway.

lol i wasnt going to go on some live railwat tracks, we have an old station about 10 miles away that still has some track, hasn't been used in over 20 years. Thanks for the concern though, i do see you your point about the kids though.
 
I would also make a cardboard snoot and perhaps have a shot through brolly if you can get hold of one.

I'm not sure photos that are set around train tracks inspire kids to play on them. Unless they are photo's of kids enjoying themselves playing on the tracks....

I would have thought that pier pressure and more social reasons make kids play on train tracks.

Back to the op, let me know where your going to find the nice weather please!!! its shocking here, unless you like shots in the rain of course lol.

Im in Eastbourne (near Brighton), the forecast isnt that bad down here, we were going to do it today but the girlfriend had to work, ill definatly post some when we do it, which should be tomorrow depending on the weather!
