I have just upgraded from a 450D to 7D2 and also bought a 100-400 MK2. My existing lowepro fastpack seems to small now to hold my 7D2, Canon 100 Macro, Canon 15-85 and the 100-400.

What suggestions do people have?

I just picked up a Kata 3N1-35 from WEX yesterday. Not the sturdiest of bags due to the thin/light dividers but i have my own which will make it much sturdier. Kata were bought by Manfrotto hence now the Kata gear going cheap to sell it all off. The Manfrotto 3N1-35 is the same bag just rebranded and costs about £200, the Kata versions cost me £59 delivered. Other Kata version at great prices as well.

Just a note. The Manfrotto versions are not the same, they have improved the internal dividers - the main weakness of Kata bags.

Lowepro flipside 400 AW suits me fine, holds a 6d, 70-200, 17-40, 24-105mm, a 50mm and a couple of flashes. I bought mine off ebay, not sure its genuine, but nevertheless the quality is superb!

I didn't realise that although it doesn't matter to me as I have loads of different sized ones from other bags. Any other real changes?

I've a lowepro mini trekker and as a backpack it's great. I think the new version is the Pro Runner....

I've also a lowepro Nova shoulder bag (available in different sizes) and an very pleased with it.

There are lots of different makes and models about - gets very confusing :D id suggest you narrow the type of bag your after - shoulder, backpack etc.

No, other than the internal dividers & padding, it's the same. The new dividers make the bags a little heavier now, but the Manfrotto dividers are really good.

The flip side looks good. When i go to a zoo for a day I normally take my kit in a rucksack and when i get there i attach my camera to a Black rapid strap. However I then have no way to carry a second lens as the rucksack inhibits the strap.

What do others do?

I've recently bought one of these... http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004O8QY68

Can't recommend it enough. Loads of room. Exceptionally lightweight. Easy access to your gear via a single clip (no noisy velcro or zips on this bad boy bag) - a few seconds rummaging at most. Alternatively, just undo the clip and tip the contents onto the ground if you're in a real hurry. Some people might say that the lack of padding is a problem. I disagree. A few dinks and scratches, for me, justify the considerable investment made in 'pro' quality bodies and glass.

My Kata 3N1-35 backpack came today and first impressions are good . Seems quite well made. The inserts are a little thin but will do a job if needed but i do have loads of inserts which i could use if i want to. Loads of extra space in the top section which i can put equipment( even though its designed for clothes etc). Time will tell but i like that you can tuck away the straps when required as well.

I have a Kata 123-10 back pack. A steady enough bag with lots of divider options, so I can fit my 60d and 70-200 attached and still have sections for accessories.

I use all kinds of bags, shoulder or backpack, with quick access camera shoulder straps. The other straps are no problem provided you put the bags and straps on in the right order :-)

For quick lens changes I use a Lowepro lens exchange bag, basically a lens bag which develops an extra temporary lens socket when opened. Solves the 3rd hand problem when there's nowhere to put a lens down.

I like the sling bags, easy to access the camera without having to out the bag down. The Lowepro transit Sling 250 is perfect for my 6D with 24-105 lens. The internal layout can be changed to accommodate the camera with a larger lens.

The Lowepro lens exchange looks Interesting. With a BR I have the left side of waist free as the camera sits on my right hip. What I want really is another strap like the BR that would rest on the other shoulder and allow a spare lens to sit on my left hip....
