There I was all set to go at an equine event today as the official photographer with my trusty D200 when all of a sudden I couldn't access the menu's and every time i switched the camera back on it took a picture. Couldn't view the screen or anything. Even the WB wouldn't alter which is linked to the command dials.
I had thought long and hard about taking the D50 and put it in just to be on the safe side. Nabbed it back off Mrs Bob and did a lens change quicker than an F1 tyre change and away we went again.
Still can work out what was up with the D200 but the fault seems intermitant. Eventually I switched back to it and have just downloaded the images and all seems well.
Just as well as I was booked for 2 more events from the organiser and also got some equine portrait work.
God did my legs wobble and Ar** twitch when I couldn't sort that problem out htere and then. I will never go anywere without by trusty back up.
Anybody had any similar probs with the D200 - I would be interested to hear before I send it back for repair to the supplier.
