I have got the Epson R1400 printer at the moment and looking to upgrade to the R3000. I hope I'm not asking the obvious but would I see an improvement in print quality. I know B&W would be much better but what about overall colour performance.
Also my monitor is not calibrated so would this need to be done and which software would you recommend please.
Thanks
Dave

I went from a 1400 to a 2880. Black and white is way better (now I get b&w not purple cast &w) but as a simple hobby printer looking for prints for my walls I don't see too much difference between colour prints. Note that all of this is based on using fotospeed ciss. I got decent b&w with the 1400 and epson inks. I am pleased I upgraded for the b&w alone though.

Thanks Ian, mine is just a hobby printer too and use a ciss from inkexpress.
I'll take a look at the 2880

Great printer we had 1400 before the R 3000
No comparison in my opinion we use it with cs6 but no doubt will work fine with elements.
Just needs little thought when setting up and printing

I have upgraded from the 1400 to the Epson R3000, and have a photospeed ink system fitted. I have found the printer supurb esp. for black & white.
