Epson 3880 ink options

I have a 3880 which was acquired for a non-profit production requirement. I'm wondering what low-cost ink options anyone might have experience with. I'm sure the quality will be more than adequate without resorting to Epson inks, and have noticed a number of products available, including refillable cartridges and various 'oem-compatible' inks.

Have not yet decided on papers, and expect print volumes to be low-ish, but including some large formats and panoramas, etc. that I guess will use a lot of ink.

Suggestions please.
 
I've been using refillable carts in my 3800 for well over a year. No issues what so ever.

I use various good quality papers and have no problems with print quality.

The carts are from http://www.inkjetfly.com (USA) 'The 80ml (smallfoot) ones'


The ink I use is manufactured by Image Specialists and I get that from either one below.

Sometimes have to choose ink for the A3 2400 version because the 3800 is not always listed.

Top quality results for around £5 per 80ml cartridge refill.

That's the one's. I removed the labels so I could see the ink levels easily.

I would recommend using Inkjetfly for them. Just for the after sales service.

They come with a set of chips that you have to add to the chips you have removed from the OEM carts.

If a chip or valve is faulty at least you have someone to talk to about it and get it sorted quickly. Delivery is surprisingly quick as well.
