Yes
I've just been reading the Jan - March 2007 EOS magazine and I have to say I'm a bit impressed.

It's full of useful guides on various camera modes, flash techniques, exposure modes, etc etc all accompanied by quality illustrations of camera set up, and obviously all Canon based, but giving excellent anwers to just the sort of newbie (and not so newbie) questions that we get here all the time.

Definitely worth a read.

Grrr! my sub ran out with the last issue, I tend to spend way too much on mags off the shelf so thought I wouldnt bother resubscribing, this issue sounds right up my street too ... aint that always the way!

Well it's on special offer at the moment Glo reduced to £16.95 for a years subs for UK purchasers..

Thanks CT, thought it would cost more than that - think I'll prescribe some of that :D

I thought it would cost loads more too, although I get it for free as a member of CPS. LOL 'free' ...spend about 10K on gear and you get a free mag.

 yeah, like a tank of petrol in a new car that freebie:lol:

went to look for this in Tesco's today... but they didn't have it! :(

Kamion, you cant buy it in the shops, its sub only as far as Im aware.
I always used to forget about the mag until it plopped on my doormat every couple of months .. always a welcome surprise!

oic. looks like I gotta sub then!

I too have just sub'd.

Hope it's a good read as I tend not to buy many mags at all.

Shame this place wasnt on comission for people subscribing! :(

Has anyone else read the "Survey" page?

I was honestly shocked by some of there findings, such as....

88% of Eos Mag readers are Male (ok no surprise there)

70% are 35-65 years of age.
23% are over 65...
Therefore only 7% are under 35... This amazed the hell out of me (I fall into this small percentage and always (wrongly) assume everyone I talk to on the internet is of a similar age to myself)

30% of readers bought there cameras from Jessops... I mean come on...
45% of readers own more than 1 EOS camera. (probably mainly due to them getting a free EOS mag sub)
50% of readers own 3 or more zoom lenses.
40% of readers only own zoom lenses (with the 50f1.8 being so cheap its a large %)

1% of readers claim to shot 50,000 shots/year (136/day)

Another great edition of this magazine and I would actually pay a subsciption fee for it if I didnt get it free.

Probably because over 35's are richer and therefore can afford all the expensive kit. :D

Blimey - ordered a sub to EOS mag on 28/12/06 after seeing this thread, and it dropped thru letterbox today, after a weekend and a Bank Holiday!

just ordered mine....it better be here tomorrow lol

Got ours yesterday, they gave us the current issue and the last issue for free :o

You only get it for free if your part of the CPS (Canon Professional Services - or something like that), to qualify you need 3x pro level lenses, and 2x pro level camera bodies. Otherwise you have to pay - like me :D

Good news is that the 30D was classed as a pro body. Its a great read and yes, i was also quite shocked by the survey results - happy to say i'm with Dreeder in that minority age bracket.

Interestingly my piad subcription ran in parallel with my free one - which kept a friend of mine happy. Just a shame imo that its only quarterly

Ordered mine on 30 Dec 2006 - 22:04 and it came today so pleased about that. Had a quick flick through both issues and I'm impressed so far.

Same here, looks good, will take them on my trip to Dundee for evening hotel reading ;)

I liked it, ok matt bought the sub but I am the one who has read it, so that puts me in the minority as well as been female I am under 35.

I am not one for magazines but decided to subscribe to this and I have to say I am most impresssed with some of the articles.

Thanks for the heads up CT

Same here - to late for me

I've had mu subscription for just over a year and my renewal (for going with a direct debit) was only £10!

Excellent mag especially the Technical Tips.

All I need now is a another pro body and I'll be able to get it free :-)

I've just discovered this forum (via links into eos-forums) and thought I'd join and say hello.
The name's Dave Newton, if you look in the front of EOS Magazine you should see me there. Just wanted to say that it's nice to hear people are happy with the magazine and the content, it means I'm doing my job!

Dave
