It says glass in the product details.Glass mate, Not sure if that one on Amazon is the same as mine in terms of glass vs plastic as mine came with my 6D when I got the camera from a mate of mine.

Amazeballsjoining in anticipation of payday, what's everyone's thoughts and tips with this one then?
full frame, light weight (nice solid plastic imo) and the Wi-Fi function is very useful at times. I put my camera and lens in the fridge once to try to get a shot of "hand pulling a beer out" and used the Wi-Fi and android app to frame and take the shot Amazeballsfull frame, light weight (nice solid plastic imo) and the Wi-Fi function is very useful at times. It's not plastic, it's mag alloy, the only plastic bit is the top plate and that's so the wi fi signal can get outAmazeballsfull frame, light weight (nice solid plastic imo) and the Wi-Fi function is very useful at times. Ah yes you are right, that's the plastic I was talking about along with the buttons, scroll wheel and miscellaneous plastic bitsIt's not plastic, it's mag alloy, the only plastic bit is the top plate and that's so the wi fi signal can get out![]()
I am looking to purchase my first full frame camera over the next few months. My choice has been whittled down to either a 5d2 or 6d. What do people who have owned both think regarding high ISO performance of both bodies. Thanks in advance
Ben
I had the same choice Joe and have been convinced this ones the way forward
agreed, some tests suggest that the 6D has slightly better ISO performance in low light over the 5d3 as well due to the slightly lower megapixel count, so each pixel is bigger6D is far better in near all ways than the 5D2, ISO is leap years ahead on the 6D than the 5D Mark II.
It does have better low light, high ISO and low light focusing than the 5d3.agreed, some tests suggest that the 6D has slightly better ISO performance in low light over the 5d3 as well due to the slightly lower megapixel count, so each pixel is bigger
there is one thing I wish the 6D had - dual card slots...![]()

they just gotta hold something back for the next versionCouldn't agree more, one card slot is such a pain, another feature for the 6D mark II to have I guess![]()

No it's notodd Jim surely the 1d sensor is better....
Is there any reason to get a 5d2 rather than a 6d?
Is the 6d really better than a 550d for image quality . Would I really notice difference between them both with a decent prime lens on the end ?

Yes and yes.Is the 6d really better than a 550d for image quality . Would I really notice difference between them both with a decent prime lens on the end ?
Agree 6D rocks given the price it does give the 5D3 a pretty good run for its moneyYes and yes.
Strange question!
I'm determined to wait until Christmas to order my 6d, reading this thread does not help my self control.
