My first film through was a £1 roll of Kodak supercolour, the lens is EF 50mm 1.4 and the camera set mostly on Aperture mode.

I'm pleased to report that it works. Now to start twisting dials and pushing buttons!

Love that first one. Makes me want to be there and dip my hook and see what comes out.

Then again there's no air con or central heating out there is there............may be next summer!

Who did the processing?

Local shop which apparently has an East Anglia-wide franchise for film developing, Studio Five based in Thetford. They "dev only" my 35mm negs (it's all techno-babble to me :lol:) and scan them to CD for me. Why do you ask?

Just askin like.....they seem nice pics. Clean, sharp, no marks, good colour balance and exposure. What Resolution do they scan at (How many Muffle Burps is each picture)? They don't say on their web site, (But I see they say they do 120 Roll film !!! Hmm).

Would you say you've had enough good results from them to recommend?
Always good to let fellow users know when we find a good lab. Not many left.

I have absolutely no doubts about recommending Studio Five of Thetford and Brandon for developing on the proviso that my experience with them over the past few months (equating to about 3 films every 2 weeks) has been straightforward "please develop this 35mm or MF film". I have not asked for arty effects or large prints.

Their 110/120/MF format developing machine has been out of action for a week or so and I think they're awaiting a replacement part being fitted.

I have not yet asked what resolution they scan at and have intended to ask this when I them for a price for scanning my MF films to CD.
