Hi all, quick question.

I have been led to believe its possible on Canon EOS cameras that its possible to set the camera up to take 3 (or 5) shots with -1 0 +1 exposure bracketing shots in quick succession. Obviously this would be perfect for doing a lil bit of HDR. Could anybody tell me if this is true and how the hell to do it lol. Im stuck reading through the instruction manual.

Any help or what to search for on Google would be ace.

Thanks
Rob

Select Manual mode, then in the menu under the second tab (the camera with 2 dots) adjust the AEB (auto exposure bracketing) to the desired exposure levels (1 stop in your case) click set, then start taking photographs...

It should be page 80 in your manual, called Auto Exposure Bracketing.

Press Menu, then select the 2nd tab from the left, highlight AEB and press the 'set' button so that the other options below dissapear. Then press the > button 3 times (if you work in increments of 1/3's) and then press 'set' again. This will set the exposures to 0, +1 and -1.

When you go to take a photo, it will take the middle exposure first and then the +1 and -1 (can't remember what order for the last 2!) but....you have to take 3 photos (ie press the shutter 3 times) - it won't take 3 in 1, so I imagine you'll need it tripod mounted for an HDR image.

From what I can remember, you can do it in P, Av, Tv or M mode, but if you're in M, it's probably easiest to adjust it manually!

Hope that makes sense

i've done it - and use it for HDR pictures.
Once you press the shutter button, it will take 3 shots one after the other.

i believe it's recommend to use -2 0 +2

cool so its pretty quick and you dont much movement. wanna it in new york. maybe natural history museum or grand central station.
