Enlarger lens for 120film

I have a durst m605 but I only have a lens for 35mm film. If I want to do 6x6 120 what focal length lens would I need??

About 80mm, same as the standard lens for a 6x6 camera, as long as you don't intend to go bigger on 120?

I’ve no intention to, Ive got a 6x6 pinhole camera. I tried to use the lens I have on 6x6 film but it just cut off the edges. Are all enlarger mounts the same?

There's usually a plate for holding the lens, but I don't know if each manufacturer might have their own type. The 80mm may well have a different mount diameter from the 50mm lens, but the handbook should explain what you need.

No. The commonest screw fitting is 39mm as per the early Leicas but there are others. Durst enlargers commonly used a cup adapter: screw the lens into the adapter and the cup clips into the socket and is secured by a thumb screw. 75mm or 80mm are typical but some 60mm lenses were made with a working circle to cover 6x6 negatives. This gives a bigger print for a given head height. BUT you need to check before buying as there were also 60mm lenses for 127 film and these will not cover 6x6.

Most enlarger lenses screw to a 39mm mount. I use an 80mm Nikkor f/5.6 for 6x6 and 6x7.

Yea I just took my 50mm out, first time I’ve had a look st the mount. I just got another durst so I knew it would fit

You'll need a different lensboard for 80mm , it's much flatter than the one for the 50mm lens
