Enlargement sizes

Evening All,

I want to get a photo blown up nice and big - hopefully bigger than A3 - and was wondering how big I can go with a 12 mp image from a D300.

Hi Paul, I had a 20D which was 8mp and printed up to A3 with a kit lens. I would have thought your D300 would go quite a bit bigger

Typically you would want 300dpi for a good quality print, but most people wouldnt notice a drop to 200dpi. So A3 will be fine from a 12mp sensor.

I have had quite a few A2 size prints done from my 10MP D200 and they looked great.

Thanks for the input guys, I think I will look at something between A2 and A3 and see how they come out.

Ive had a bigger than 40x30inch done from a 50D (15.1mp) and an A2 done from a D200 (10mp)

Both look great!
