Energy prices on the up

Just got my end of year tariff notice from sainsbury energy and prices going up. Looking on go compare it is off to e-on for the next round. Mind you it is a shame sainsbury especially have been really cheep.

Prices have been going up since the start of the year. In the one month that I looked around, prices went up by £100-200 from all suppliers. The cheapest are the independents (iresa, octopus, flow according my notes).

yeah sem to be leccy that is going up the most on my tarrif.
to be fair there is not much in moving maybe £150 a year but it is enough.

We are with Ovo and the electric went up about 4p per unit at the last renewal.

Shopped around and it seemed all the others were the same or more per unit so reluctantly stayed with them.

Our electric bill has gone up about £12 a month I think, not the end of the world but if it does that over 10 years then it's quite a lot.

I swapped to SSE back in Sept last year I and surly most other people would have taken out a fix tariff?
