Does anybody have any preferences for a charger for eneloops?
Thanks

BL700 technoline, for me as well.Had it for years and still going strong.

Just remember to use REAL Eneeloops not copys or other makes alternatives.

I've just got a Nitecore i8 whic charges prettery much everything - I use it for my 8 x eneloop's that are in my trail cams which all fit in at the same time.

Will also do 18650, 123, AAA, C, D etc etc.

My eneloop's are worknig great, the other batteries (energiser, 7 day shop 2900) do not hold a charge now after a couple of years of light use.

And which is better long term??? 2100mah or 2500mah

If you can manage with the lower capacity, thats the way to go.

Some of the alternatives are fine, if you choose carefully. Panasonic bought the brand, but not the original factory, which still produces batteries with the same technology under the Eneloop and other brands. Any 'low self-discharge' NiMH battery that is labelled 'Made in Japan' comes from this factory. There's a good guide here:

I've been happy with the black Fujitsu equivalents to Eneloop Pro, and would be tempted to pick up some LADDA 2450 batteries the next time I go to Ikea.

My Eneloops are the original 2000Mah (minimum 1900) versions. A while back I found 6 I had forgotten about, they had been idle for 2/3 years in an unknown state of charge. I decided to test them to see if they were still OK. Well they were far from new when I forgot about them and I had no idea whether they were charged or not. I put them on discharge and got 2135 Mah! Still well over specification, I doubt the newer 2500 versions would perform that well.
