*Ended* Win a Talk Photography Optech camera strap. *Ended*

That quote is spot on

Ended - I'll post a decision later today.

A really big "thanks" to everyone who posted a picture and entered the spirit of the competition - the criteria I set was:

all you have to do is post a pic that shows some aspect of growing old ... the poster of the image I like best gets the strap cost and post free

Although not the most technically proficient shot (IMO), the one that I like best is rhody's "Growing Old Together" as I think it well illustrates a sad aspect of growing old and as it is a 'natural' shot rather than set up it follows my own preference of shooting style.

So well done rhody, please PM your full postal address and the strap will be winging its way to you at the beginning of next week.

Well done to everyone else who participated

Congrats Rhody! Thanks Gramps!
Shame you didn't get a few more entrants though.
Does it show that people don't like the thought of 'getting old'?
Got to admit that apart from the 60's, I have never enjoyed myself more since I became a wrinkly! (not sure exactly when that happened).

Could be Baz ... I've got a new Q-Strap to offer next so I'll try a different theme :D

You'll do for me mate!
Make it for next year please, when I can get out without these ruddy crutches!

Very many thanks for choosing my photo and for your generosity Gramps. This was a grabbed shot as I was on the other side of a tall hedge and a set of iron railings and the man and his dog were in the adjoining park together.

It was completely spontaneous and I decided I would rather capture the moment for exactly the reasons you identified and you are quite right, it is not a technically proficient or posed shot but it did appeal to me.

I toyed with the idea of asking him to pose for me but a few moments later he was gone.

Once again very many thanks - PM will be with you shortly. I've just got to take the dog out before it gets too dark. (And no, the photo is not a self portrait - yet!!!)

Also many thanks to everyone for their best wishes too - much appreciated.

Best wishes

Stunning ...

... love the not technically proficient aspects.

keep 'em coming rhody
