Endeavour leaving KSC

Shuttle Endeavour is scheduled to leave Kennedy Space Centre piggy-backed on a 747 on 17 Sep, heading for LA, due to arrive 20 Sep.

I will be in the general area at the time

Anyone got any idea of a suitable area to view (and hopefully capture) the event? Longest lens I have is a 300mm on Nikon D3100

I suspect the area adjacent to the runway will be rammed or media only. (eastern side about half way along)

I'd contact KSC direct and ask about visiting on the day and photography.

They are pretty geared towards visitors and it is likely they will have some info for this event.
