End to 'free' bank accounts?

Well without going into too much detail but I have one particular account where I pay in 250pm and then at the end of 12 months (£3,000) it pays out the 3k plus 8%AER  where as people that don't have the paid service only have access to the same savings account but at 4%AER

Matt

Well done for getting that rate because it sounds too good to be true. The organisation I work for places hundreds of millions with various banks and the rate is more like 1/6th of that. It's even way more than what they pay in the bond markets to raise funding.

They are going to get some comeuppance, at least in the US. It seems the bankers mates don't run the Government there like they do here.

 hooray!

Well there mates don't run all of the government yet, much of it though ...if their plan comes together in a few more years (almost certain without some sort of financial revolution) ..they'll have it sown up tight and the US will have a government run fully by banks and corporations ...and we're not that far behind them.

In the mean time this been in the pipeline a while, the US economy is far more desperate than ours and the some other part of their government has decided to point a stick (quite rightly) over here in a bid to counter the USs massive financial problems, not just the money, more importantly the clear appearance of action and righteousness for the big investors appeasement! ...lets hope they do more than just ask questions hey. :gag:
