I am putting together a front page banner for a free website that provides information/help to people who have lost loved ones in the 1st & 2nd World Wars.

The layout requires a small but 'very' significant image of Flanders poppies.

Two or three heads in closeup.Must be instantly recognisable(maybe just one??)

The final image will be small but I would obviously like to start with a quality image.

It will sit in the middle of a sepia set of images so the bright red is going to be very prominent.

There is no payment or recognition to be gained here, just an chance to lend me a hand in lending a worthy cause a hand:thinking: (that is right - isn't it?)

So if you have an image that may suite or fancy taking one for the fun of it, I would be ever so, ever so chuffed.

Damn I dont have any shots of poppies. Not real ones.

I do have some of memorial poppies / wreaths etc, that you are free to use if you like.
 
i have one shot on at the moment " Backlit Poppies" Probably not what you want but if it is then its yours

Some really beautiful images, thank you'all very much for contributing.

If Andy and Hypnotic would be kind enough to 'e'mail me medium quality jpegs of their originals I would like to try them both.

I just don't know which will suit best.

I have only just read this thread so unfortunately the reply is to late but if your ever in this sort of fix do thus: go to Google, select image button, type in your request and viola or in this case poppy, loads of images came up. Hope it may help in the future Regards Jim. PS I have no idea about copyright issues.

With shots as beautiful as the last one, you really ought to show more.... and on a more positive note Robin Hood was from Sheffield ;) :)
