Yesterday the stroke group asked me to come along to the town hall with them and take some photos for publicity shots for the group, I rolled up infront of the town hall waiting for the mayor and the chairman and co-ordinator of Think Ahead to turn up, sat on the opened boot of his car was a local press photographer.

He asked me if I was part of Think ahead to which I replied yes, he recognised me from when I was taking photos of a 10k run a couple of weeks ago. He then started looking at my dalek type platform and said thats incredible a set up like that, to which I obviously agreed he then said he wishes he could have a camera like mine he showed me his Nikon D200 and at that point I felt so embarressed as he was a pro and Im a Noobie Nooobie.

Then I thought how fantastic an opportunity you presented me with all this, that was a reality moment where I thought bloody hell if I have a pro wanting my set up then I shall hold my head up high when Im using it and not feel embarressed.

So what Im trying to say is THANK YOU ALL

...but where's the pics :D

I wouldn't worry about it. Most of our local togs have older, battered cameras

Nice work, glad to see you're getting on well with the kit. That's certainly as good as any local press photo I've ever seen.

The positioning is great with the town hall sign in the back, the mayors chains identifying him and the stroke logos etc showing up well and you've got smiles. Ticks all the right boxes.

You will have to check out the local paper to see if your pics are better than the press togs :D

Well done, those look as good as many of the ones in my local rag.

Thanks Julian
