When I check for email on my iPhone 4S, I get a pop up preview for each email which gives me the option to either dismiss or read. It becomes a pain as I usually have around 30 emails coming through each time.

I never had this issue with the 3GS and I can't find anything in the settings to turn it off.

Try looking in Settings>Notifications. From there you can control notifications to be badges, banners or off for the apps which have the options. Mail is at the bottom of the list on an ipod. Friend asked me this when he needed to stop/hide chat notifications from his wife.

Forgot to say hi !

Of course! I should have known that. :bonk:

No problem at all, not very often I can assist to a question asked on here! When's the next meet? I'm going through a 'I like taking pictures again' phase

Oh and I just found this, so you can have one :jaffa:

I'm out of the meets at the moment due to waiting for a knee op, hopefully back for the spring. Have a look at starrider's posts, he's always organising one or two here and there.

Good luck with the op. Went on a meet last weekend with Dave and a few of the usual suspects.
