Hello, I guess I should start with a bit of an introduction. My name is krystal, I am 24 years old and i am living in surrey. 6 moths ago i gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, motherhood can be lonley somtimes and i seemed to have lost touch with my creative side. Last thursday I purchased a Nikon D3300 and will be trying to get out of the house to visit new places and take some photos. I would love to take a photography course but its just so complicated working out the finance ect.

Welcome to the forum, sometimes it's just getting out there and taking photos that's needed to stay with. Local college night classes will be starting up again in a few weeks, and you may also have a local photography group that meets up and could provide support at a low cost.

I have contacted colleges and looked into home courses and awaiting a reply. i am not sure if i can still claim housing benefit, and no point asking the council they just put the phone down on me.

Welcome to TP.

A cheaper alternative to camera courses, is to look on youtube. Gavin Hoey isn't too bad but it's a shame he hasn't done any videos in a year or so......Serge Ramelli is great if you have Lightroom or Photoshop. Plenty of others out there is you look :)

There should be details of benefits on your council's web site, including the LHA (Local Housing Allowance) you would be entitled to.

The rule is that you cannot back claim for it so just get the forms and apply - if you are not entitled they will let you know.
