Hello everyone
This will be my second post on here so I think it's about time I said hello.
Been skulking around in the back ground quite a while since I registered picking up on the vast amount of info on here. I know from previous posts that there are alot of togs on here a mile better than me but what info they have given already I've found very good and many thanks to all of you for the little bits n bobs I've noted.
Ian D J's lightning question prompted me to leave the shadows and place a post as Weather and storms in particular are one of my favourite subjects. Studied BEng (Hons) Electronic Eng (with optional Earth Sciences) at Uni but had to drop out after two years as I was flat broke and had to get a job
I've been into photography for a few years now. Started off with a Minolta 404Si and built up quite a collection of kit for it. My first Digi was a Canon S50 advanced (well, it was then) compact. Upgraded to a Nikon D50 Twin Lens Kit about 18months ago and have just sold the Nikon in favour of a Sony Alpha 350 so I can drag out all my old Minolta Kit.
Speaking of which, does anyone know where I can get a battery cover for a Vivitar 728AFM flashgun? Mine appears to have gone walkies between packing it in the box and unpacking it again

Beer and photo kit tokens are provided by means of employment (working with MalV - who pointed me in this direction) fixing computers. Been very lucky in that respect. Finished Uni, worked a year behind a bar and then straight into the job I'm still doing now and 12 years later I can honestly say I still know nothing about computers....:bonk::bonk:
I'm one of them "loathesome amateurs that will take pictures of just about anything" (Regs will know where I'm comming from there
There you go a potted history of me...
So, Hello Peeps...hope you are all very well and look forward to posting some pics. Previous work can be seen on my Flickr site.
