Hello all! :wave:

I've only been taking photos for about 6 months now, having grabbed myself a P&S in the summer for my holiday, but I've really got into it. Sadly though I recently lost access to most of my photos (I have two copies of them, but I lost the archive password :lock: d'oh). Annoying to lose them all, but at least it was just a few months' worth.

Effectively with a clean slate, I decided to take the plunge and move up to a DSLR. Picked myself up a D90 before Christmas, and loving it so far! I've barely had any free time to play with it so far, but I had a little play in the snow a few weeks ago and am not entirely upset with the results so far. Hoping I'll see some significant improvements over my 2nd half year of photography.

Anyway I decided to employ everyone here as trainers and consultants (sorry, no wages!) so figured that I should say hi. :wave:

Starling eh? I am only knowledgable enough in birds to narrow it down to "brownish bird smaller than an emu but bigger than a hummingbird", so ta for that. I'd like to suggest that in was an expertly planned shot timed to the millisecond, but it was just a dumb bird that luckily flew into shot as I took the pic. hehe.

Oh I backed up. I'm looking at an external drive right now. If I ever remember the password I'll be able to access them whenever I want. Hard to guess passwords are great... as long as you remember them. :bang:

Rest assured I'm now using the same password that I use for all the others!
 
Hi Ray

I am new here too. I have a Nikon D50 which my husband brought for me about 8-10 months ago. I am too am looking to learn from this forum too and hoping to meet up with other norfolk based people to go out and about with and learn/develop together.

I have a keen interest in landscap photography and Portraits.

I am based near King's lynn Norfolk.
