Hi all the old ones, and Hello to the new ones, have not been here for a few years, but still taking pics.........all 35mm stuff nowadays on a 1964 Spottie and a 1980 KR10 but need advice from the digital gurus, we did have digital quite a few years ago when the D200 and D2X were the cameras to have, and we had them.
But now we are wanting inexpensive Nikon (sorry Canon guys) bodies and lenses for 2 people, been looking at D3200 for the missus (Babytiger as some may know her) and a D7100 for myself, so if anyone can give us advice............we didn't take it last time and bought 2 S3 Fujis...........yep mistake, but we will listen this time.

2 Bodies and lens that are good for all round photography and the odd aircraft shot...........over to you.

By the way £1000 is my limit

Hi Pete, I'm one of the new ones! With that budget you could just about get a D7100 with 18-105 and D3300 with 18-55 and 55-300 brand new. Grey imports though, but still new. Hope that helps

Whoops...........called into PC world, came out with a D3200 kit for Eileen and for myself............a Canon 700D kit and a Tamron 18-200 IF macro DI 2

Looking forward to hearing of your experience, of using both of the cameras :-)

Had an hour out with them yesterday Jon, but weather and light wasn't up to much, so no decent shots, still getting to grips with Canons controls just yet but first impressions seem good.
