After some fruitless research on this, I look to your help.

There are older model Elinchrom Style 600RX

and latest model

What's the difference between them in technical term? Obvious the case has a modern look on latest model.

I understood the latest one requires skyport for triggering. But somewhere I heard that even the old model allows computer control (how???) (http://www.digitalslrphoto.com/DSLR...lash/874495/elinchrom_style_600rx_review.html)

My question is, would older model allow skyport radio? would it be compatible on the same frequency range?

thanks

I got the answer from Danny from MM:
I'm sorry but that advice is incorrect. Both units posted here are "RX" units and are fully compatible with RX skyport receivers. You can adjust the power of BOTH heads from camera position using the transmitter.

The computer compatibility relates to the RX studio software thats available to control the lights via a wireless usb RX adapter. I.E setting all of your flash controls with your laptop/mac rather than on the flash head, or using a transmitter.

Hope that helps.
