Hello just looking for some advice

i have got Elinchrom flash heads, there not the brand new style ones out there the gray kind.

they come with a radio transmitter but this is starting to annoy me now where its missing sometimes when i go to take a pic it does this alot and now ive had enough of it doing it.

my question is will this fire my lights ?

will try and get a pic of my flash heads asap

It will work in theory, subject to the limitations of infra red...

But for a lot less than the £56.99 they're asking, you could just buy a new radio trigger - smaller, better, much longer range and more reliable.

I use that trigger, bought it years ago before cheap radio jobbies were available.

Despite the price, it's quite cheaply made but I have to say it works just fine 100% reliable and I tend to pick it up first, even though I've got other triggering options. Small and light, no receivers necessary, it's just so easy if you're working indoors and got built-in optical slaves. There's no reduction in x-sync speed either.

But TBH I'm not sure I'd buy one again, given the choices. That same tigger is also available under all sorts of brand names and I've seen it down to £30. It's £40 here http://www.harrisoncameras.co.uk/Sh...Dorr+Infrared+Flash+Trigger+372280_372280.htm

Thank you for the replys.

Reason i was looking at those was as someone said they were very good etc..

Can anyone point me to some good radio triggers?

Yongnuo RF-602, from Amazon.

Anyone know of any other makes that would be up to the job ??

Phottix Strato II is similar to the RF-602 but better spec and quality, with E-TTL pass through. Cactus V gets good rep, but basic.

What's wrong with the RF-602?
