Been using a fairly ancient version of Photoshop (Pshop 7) for a number of years now and wondered about getting Elements 9.

I'm not looking to shell out for up to date Photoshop if Elements 9 would do the job.

Is there somewhere I can take a decent look round the product just to see what it would give me ?

I have elements 7, but thinking about getting elements 9, this months Photo Plus (February) gives an in site into the extra features,

I'll take a look.

Having never used any version of Elements before - I just wasn't sure how it stacked up against full blown Photoshop albeit my old version.

I tried to download the full trial version of Elements 9 from the Adobe site but it didn't work.

Elements doesn't do CMYK, you can't create actions, some of the layer styles are missing, theres no pen tool and I think selective colours also missing. There might be other stuff but off hand I can't think of any other differences with PS 7.0.
That said it does have content aware fill and a proper raw converter.

Thanks Wayne

I've managed to get the 30 day free trial now so I can have a play.

I upgraded from 7.0 to 9.0 and can't see much difference , There probably is plenty of differences but I don't use it to its full capabilities
