Elements 7 problem

Hi everybody, I've not been on here for ages as I've been very busy with work and other things.
I have a serious problem with Elements 7, it closes suddenly within minutes or sometimes seconds of loading, losing whatever I'm working on at the time.
This has only started happening recently, perhaps since the last automatic Windows(XP) update.
Any ideas?

Far from 100% sure of the cause, but I suggest that you uninstall then reinstall it.
A file may have become corrupted.

That would be my first thought too

or try a "system restore" pre update and see if that makes any difference ?
