Hi All just wondering if I could get a few opinians really. I've just got myself back into photography and after reading alot on here I realise that I'm going to need to do abit of post production. My dad bought himself a copy of Elements 5 a few years back so I've started trying to work my way around it, unsuccessfully most of the time lol. So my question is how far behind the lastest versions is it?? Should I stick with it then upgrade later if need be?? I'm thinking of elements 8 or maybe a copy of cs3 if I can find one. A search showed it at around £190. Sadly I think cs4 and 5 will be out of my reach at the moment.

Thanks Simon.

Grab PE8 from morgancomputers for £32, many of my clients have bought them and they're fine, much better for amateur photography than CS3 due to the integrated organiser.

In agreement here, I have had all Elements accept v.6. Elements v.5 was the poorest IMHO, always crashing my computer . . .

I use E.v7, have v.8 but I like 'v.7'

Stick in the mud, mmm getting older now,not so keen on change . . . CJS

Got to agree with above, I bought it and it does everything that you need.
Bit memory hungry though.
