Just over 14 months ago I bought a lighting setup from Elemental Studio Flash, including four flash heads. A couple of weeks ago I turned up for one of the TP studio meets and found that one of my heads would not flash. No drama as I had three others to use.
Anyway, I contacted Elemental and, although it was now 2 months outside the one year warranty period, after a brief chat with Danny to rule out the obvious they sent a courier to pick up the old unit at no cost to me. Today, a week later, a replacement turned up - a brand new model with updated design and all the accessories that come with a new head. I had kept the accessories from the original head, as instructed, so now I have a shiny new head (no comments about my balding pate thank you
) and some spare leads, modelling lamp and reflector.
It's always a disappointment when something goes wrong with gear, but I certainly can't grumble about the after sales care I received from Elemental.
