Elemental Iceland

Wow!
Simply breathtaking.
Iceland seems to be full of awesome sights......and I mean the true meaning of awesome...stunning video.
My son has recently returned from a school trip there....determined to visit now.

Whets my appetite for going back in February. I've been lucky enough to have already been to Iceland. It's as good as you think it's going to be and then some. Amazing country.

Oh, what I would give fom m8re than 0.2mb broadband speeds:(
Watching videos online must be great!

I went several years ago, with just a cheap point and shoot and had a great time. Now I've better skills I'd really like to go again.

Absolutely a stunning place to visit the weather is a bit unpredictable at times. Did a self drive trip in September and already looking at going back next October

Have just booked my trip today for the end of March......

Went in February with 3 friends and hired a car, would love to go back again at some point, most enjoyable holiday I've had in a very long time and although the weather was quite wet most of the time, we still managed to see an amazing display of the northern lights. Chances are I'll try the other Nordic countries first though and drive (my own) car, they all look rather beautiful.

Hang on... I thought we couldn't embed or post work from other people... surely that can't be a rule for only photographs. If it's OK to embed video... why do I get told off for embedding photos in tutorial and critique threads? Do we have double standards here?

I think it also used to say something along the lines of not commenting on issues like this in the thread itself but to contact a staff member :)

Well, how would members know not to do it, if it wasn't brought up in the thread?.

I have raised this in the forum thread... doesn't mean I can't ask generally. After all... someone in here may have been able to just give me a logical answer.

I've seen video being embedded loads of times though... it never seems to get challenged... unless I'm just not noticing it being challenged.

Fair enough... if you want to comment, do so in the thread I started elsewhere.

Carry on....

For what it's worth.... Iceland is on my "absolutely must do very soon" list. It's not a cheap trip though.

From the rules initially(having said that they have been re-written). Then when it has happened a staff member usually comments.

I think your right about videos being embedded for a while. It could just be that it was never brought to the attention of a staff member with those I suppose.

What a beautiful video.

I was looking at going to either Norway or Iceland to spot the Northern Lights. Norway was first choice but this video has me thinking again! The time lapse of the lights are incredible.

I've been to both Iceland and Norway. Both fantastic places for photography but I think Norway(Lofoten Islands) has the edge with some amazing impressive scenery for the aurora.
