Hi, my son is on the look out for a electric lawn mower (reasonable price). His lawn is about 10mt x 15mt. While I have been looking for him, I came across
the Mountfied Princess 34 electric 4 wheel rear roller. I've never heard of this make before, anyone on here got one or had dealings with them? Or should he stick with the Bosch, Qualcast, Flymo ect

Stick with Bosch. I got mine from Amazon a few years ago now and it does the job come rain or shine.

Mountfield make outstanding petrol mowers. You'd be hard pushed to beat them.
Never had any dealings with the electric ones though.

i have recently bought a mountfield petrol 4 stroke (so no mixing oil) from B&Q for £149 it is superb and so much easier than dragging an extension around the garden

Had a Qualcast for a few years, largish one with the roller

Does the job and hoovers up all the crap nicely into the box, much better than the hover (no they don't) mowers I have owned in the past

Depends on budget. I have an atco cylinder mower, electric and will last for years as well as giving the best finish.

Prior to the. Honda. I had an Atco rotary electric which lasted nearly 20 years!

the specs on this look suspiciously the same as the Mountfield in the OP's link?

Both brands are owned by the same firm ;) I don't think either make all their own kit so it's very likely that's the same mower with a different badge on.

TBH 10m X 15m - pretty much anything should manage it and last a while.

I second that.

I've had the same Mountfield 4-stroke engine mower for seven years and in that time I'd probably would have got through two or three electric flymos. It does a more smoother job of cutting the lawn as well as making the task a lot easier and quicker. Mind you, I also do a couple of other gardens belonging to elderly people which explains why I do get through electric flymos at a worrying rate.

I would never go back to an electric flymo.

Update,
called in at B&Q to view mowers, It came down to the following 3, 1.Bosch 320ER reduced to £62 2. Bosch 340ER Ergoflex reduced to £81 or 3. Bosch 370 Ergoflex reduced to £96. We decided to go for option 2 at £81 but they had none in stock (don't you always find this!) So opted for 3 @ £96. and another 10% off for being a OAP which apply on Wednesdays, lucky that I was buying it. Now he needs something for the garden to store/keep it in!
Thank you all your help/advice.
