Hi folks,

I cleared out some of our cold room at the university and stumbled across ~20 rolls of Ektachrome P1600. Expired 2001, but has been at 4°C for the last 10 years.

Kodak says it can be exposed up to EI-1600--a 2 stop push--and should be developed by E-6P. Is that any different from standard E-6?

Thanks,
Mike

PS. If anyone is keen to get hands on some rolls, I can open a swap thread in the classified section.

Completely unhelpful, but just out of interest, which university is this?

E-6P pushes it to 1600 by having a longer time in the first developer bath (10 minutes instead of 6 minutes), according to Wikipedia.

EDIT: however, Kodak's technical sheet on the film says add 5 minutes/increase temperature by 7 degrees celsius: http://www.kodak.com/global/en/professional/support/techPubs/e147/e147.pdf

Thanks. Hmm, I'll probably have to get in touch with labs before I get it developed.

Drop me a PM if you're really that curious about my university. ;)
