So my boss caught sight of sone of the photos on my work computer (being used as desktop display/screensaver) and has requested that I get some printed (either to canvas or acrylic) to put them on display around the office! I'm so happy about it, I'm also a little bit scared. He's asked me to start with two and see how the clients and other staff react. I have full control of everything but he will pay for the printing.

So, can I get help picking the photos? Any suggestions for things to watch out for? He wants them relatively large, but the printer's I use will resize and check all colours (and get my approval) prior to finalising the prints.

I don't have clients though? I enjoy taking photos of things in the local area, mainly wildlife and sometimes landscapes.

Sorry, I'll rephrase, my boss and I have discussed rates that he will pay to have the photos printed, and he has put it in writing for me. I'm asking more about actually getting the photos printed and if there's anything I should be aware of as far as printing relatively large? (For example, one of the canvases he wants will be 3 panels of 50cm x 75cm).

Surely the first thing to check is that the resolution of the photos you're wanting to print is of sufficient pixels for the size print.
E.g. A 400x600 px image isn't going to look great on a large print.

If your boss wants them to display in a work / commercial environment, show him a selection of your work (including the ones which originally caught his eye) and ask him which ones he feels are best for the purpose. As for printing them, as above really. Hope you shot them at high enough res in the first place .... Good luck ...

Great news, I have tried mocking up pictures on the wall in Photoshop and found it helped quite a bit deciding what looked best in a given position.

Take a photo of the display area then Photoshop a copy of various images onto the wall (at the appropriate size) so you can see what it looks like.

Like this - my wife vetoed this one!!
