Aside from a 2 year defection to voda I have been on o2 network (recently via giffgaff) for a good 10-12 years now. But only now have I realized that's EE are far much better coverage wise. My work EE phone gets far more 3G coverage than my o2 personal phone. In fact I can't remember seeing 3G on o2 while not getting it on EE, yet the other way round is very common.

EE are ok with decent coverage but they have just raised my monthly payments mid contract & I am not a happy bunny.
 
I was with Organge for many years,
after "3 strikes you're out pal",
I went to T-Mobile.
Just before they amalgamated :D
Mind you the coverage is pretty good.

Seems I'm "also" with EE now too. :D
And yes I've noticed that, they've done it twice within this contract term,
albeit small amounts, and they have told me both times.
TBH I never read all the small print, but I assumed that they couldn't do that.
however, I bet there is a clause in there somewhere (And I'm not talking about Santa either)

But I agree its still a friggin cheek!

If you are on a 30 day rolling contract give them a call after a month and ask to speak to the retention team, I got the same deal as you for the old man but only pay £8pm.
 
The missus and I are both now on EE
She was on O2 last year when the contract had ended I phoned and cancelled
I noticed six weeks later that they were still taking money from my account
when I phoned they denied that I had cancelled and I had to pay another month again on top of the extra month that they had already taken
I have vowed never to go with them again!
 
Had so much trouble with EE and them messing up my bills, they would not listen to me at all I had to escalate it and eventually get some help from a consumer action group before they would admit any sort of errors on there part. I was very glad to be rid of them.

It's a rip off Chris, in all the years I have had a mobile contract I've never had my payments raised mid contract. To be fair it was only a few quid and like you they did warn me but still I didn't think they were allowed to do it, I mean what's the point of a contract if they can change it mid term :rage:

How some people are more than happy with a service that just seems to go tits up for someone else.

I guess you pays yer money and takes a chance.;)

No argument here Steve!

TBH I've always had a sim only contract, (Month by month) up until about 18 months ago,
when I thought the "old" Nokia's I'd been buying off ebay weren't quite fit for purpose :D
(Yeah I know, I can be a bit of a technophobe at time (Or a Dinosaur, as my kids prefer to call me :D)

So actually they are the first company that I have had dealings with,
like this.
But yep, I was also sure that a contract was a contract,
until the end of the term.
