Yes
I'm getting fed up with the 40 plus attempted scam phone calls and am thinking about changing from Talktalk, EE have offered a similar deal for roughly the same price, but looking at the customer reviews they don't seem to be very well liked, anyone had experience with them?

Just go with the bet deal because no broadband provider gives good customer service.

Surely the sign of a good isp is NOT having to test their customer service.
I'd rather have a good connection with no port blocking, shaping, throttling, blocked sites etc than a lousy connection with wonderful customer service

A&A do. But they are a proper ISP and don't try to sell you other stuff like TV channels or telephone calling plans at the same time (if you buy a telephone line from them for your broadband, it won't do actual phone calls, only broadband).

I've been pleasantly surprised by EE's support. I had to deal with them while trying to fix an elderly friend's broadband problems and they sent out a new, fully configured router very promptly. Didn't have huge waits on the phone either. The guy I dealt with is still trying to help as there's still some sort of problem but my friend is doing her best to p*** him off then telling me about it afterwards.

Never had a problem with the BB or phone with EE BUT they keep failing to collect the payments so I keep getting letters telling me I'm about to be cut off... Their customer service is extremely variable, with their UK/British Isles based call centres being great but the (going by the voices/accents) sub-contineltal centres rather less so.

Thanks for all your replies, they phoned me today to see if I had made up my mind and I told them the truth about the poor reviews I had read and was waiting to see what you guys had to say, in view of what you have said I think I will have a go with a 12 month contract.
thanks again,
Ken

I had an awful time with them just trying to connect me took about 5 months of broken promises and long phone calls (more fool me) just when they finally connected me I told them to stick it and got £300 compensation!

In the end I went with bt as after all no matter who you think your with we are all with bt at the end of day. Recently though contract was due for renewal and SSE were half the price of bt including line rental.

I've been with them nearly 2 years. My first contract was limited and a pain as I'm a fairly heavy user, but since going unlimited I've been happy and so I would recommend based on my experience. But they're now owned by BT so who knows how it'll go. I have never had a good experience with BT and vowed after last time to never deal with them again! When I had Sky I was OK with them too. I am up for renewal soon and so if I can haggle a good deal with EE I'll stay with them. They do my mobile too and I like having stuff in one place as the web account management panel is good.

I have been with plusnet for almost 5 years & i am not under contract with them,so i could leave anytime i want.:)
They were excellent for years but since the beginning of 2015 their customer service has really went downhill.o_O
I asked them if i could get some sort of discount deal if i take a new contract, the answer was no.:runaway:
They seem hellbent on taking on new customers & giving them free broadband rather than looking after their loyal customers.
So i am seriously looking at a deal with BT at the moment but still not sure yet.:cautious::thinking:

I was with EE twice and found them OK overall. Currently with PlusNet and that is fine too. Tend to switch between the two each year to get a deal. You might get a few more calls from EE, but I have to say they were not over the top with that. I find both better than TalkTalk ever was.

Just to throw another name in the mix. I was in the post office yesterday posting a pair of binoculars back to Bushnell and the assistant asked if I had broadband and proceeded to offer me what seemed like a good deal monetary wise, free broadband for twelve months and then £8 thereafter, I know it's not all about money but it does help when living on a pension. I didn't even know the post office did broadband, anyone had any experience with them?

Been with BT for years, since I lived in a small village and my internet went down following a storm, my then provoder insisted it was my faulty router, even after I bought a new one that didn't
work either, then said it was an interanal house fault, later found the whole village was out but most came on when the exchange was rebooted but my provider wouldn't do anything so after 3 weeks without internet I moved to BT who put me back on a few days later without coming near the house. Arguments then began with the previous lot because I cancelled the DD and they started threatening
court action, told them to feel free I'm sure I wouldn't be made to pay for a service \i wasn't getting, never heard any more :)
When I moved I BB reinstated in the new place within a few hours of moving in (y) Had no problems since until the router started playing up.
Rang BT and although I could get a new free router they offered me infinity at a cheaper price and with the new homehub 5 without a new contract
and increased usage, I don't need unlimited
Can't complain at that

I'm currently with BT on Infinity 1 and looking for better deals. Sky look marginally cheaper than BT, but BT are currently offering existing customers £15/month for Infinity 2 for 24 months(+line rental) - which sounds like a better long-term deal if that price is fixed for the duration of the contract.

If you just want broadband and phone (not fibre) there's a Sky deal through Money Saving Supermarket that (including unlimited broadband and line rental) works out at £61/year after promotional credits against your account.

I have found EE good overall could coverage most of the time and since blocking the sales calls I don't get bothered with them so pleased with them so far .

Just got a very good deal with sky,so waiting now for a changeover.:)

No one have any experience or know of any reviews for Post Office broadband? I've got the guy from EE chasing and although I am now out of contract with talktalk I don't want to rush before I get a response about the Post Office, ( interestingly, since I told Talktalk I was leaving because of the vast number of scam calls I had been recieving, I haven't had a single call, but I'm sure that's just a coincidence)

SSE have a great deal, UK based call centre and I'm sure it piggybacked onto a major supplier.

Worth a shout?

Been using PO broadband for 3 years, reliable and cheap. Coupled it with Landline phone for extra discount and free calls after 6 + weekends. I get 9mb downloaded speed which is decent for ADSL

Seems that TalkTalk have been having a hacking problem leading to calls, but the site is actually down at the moment according to the Register.

I'm coming to the end of my deal with BT, hence my current interest in alternative deals, and Broadband Speed Checker seems to be giving me more choices than Uswitch.

I'm with Talk Talk and its working here, although they have been a right royal PITA in the past, when they first took over the interests from Tesco.net
I was was getting speeds as low as 0.3 both up and down stream ( no fibre here, but its now imminent after over 3 years of promising it)
Several emails to the CEO, and on a good day I get 3+Mbs although "apparently" the line can't handle more than 2.5.

Once fibre is confirmed I'm switching to someone else. Possibly BT but not totally sure as yet.

I'm with plusnet and managed to get them to match (almost) the SSE deal for fibre and unlimited calls. I've never had any problems but the only time I call is when my contract expires to negotiate a new deal.
