In other words I want to use like for example, oldish effects. Or maybe others, Is there anyway of learning some?

Try looking for actions on the web - lots of resources. THe great thing about actions is you can see what each part of an action does - you can learn from them,

Lots of advice on Adobe TV or just search the web.
