editing photos via my Tele

I do a lot of editing in Photoshop on my images, and have just bought a dvi to hdmi connector so I can run my laptop through my tv screen so I have a larger screen to use as my monitor, my tv is a 42" LG 1080p screen, is there anything I need to do like adjust the colour balance on my tele or will the settings be fine coming through the cable from the laptop? I have had that idea too, but I think the HDMI sends standard colours to the TV.

I know that I've calibrated my laptop, and I've adjusted the TV to display colours how I want it to look it to look for normal TV, but the colours look more saturated when connected via HDMI.

You may get better colour reproduction via VGA, but you'll still be using an uncalibrated monitor.

I wouldn't use my TV for any critical editing if it can't be calibrated.
