please could someone point me in the right direction im trying to find some free photo editing software which one would people reccommend please as im unsure and cant afford to pay for software
i am using windows on my pc could someone help

Not being rude, there is free editing software called GIMP :thumbs:
 
Photoscape is another good one, or Serif offer free downloads of their discontinued editing programs which are also very good - in fact I started using PhotoPlus 5 many years ago and still use PhotoPlus X2 simply because it does everthing I need.

You can also download photoshop cs2 from adobe for free as a discontinued version.

Everytime I've posted that link, i've had someone posting the headbanger Icon to emphasise that it is NOT free ;) I think the page does say it is available to licence holders, maybe to replace a defective version they own that can no longer be supported.
