editing first steps

hi...brand new at editing

have downloaded Paint.Net -- but yet to go through its Tutorials

this image straight from camera -

should I try to lighten under the cart and add impact to the sky ?

and crop 10% off the bottom ?

Personally I'd up the contrast a little, the skys blown out so maybe try and add a bit of colour back to that, and trim the bottom.
I have never used paint.net so haven't a clue how or what it can do, I have heard good thing mentioned about it though.
