Hi.
I was wondering if anyone had an suggestions on how to edit EXIF data ?

I was out taking photographs this weekend with a manual lens, but the EXIF data is recording the focal legnth as 50mm (I assume this is the default value when the data isn't known), rather than the actual 8mm. Unfortunately neither Lightroom 3 or Adobe Bridge will let me alter the focal legnth in the EXIF data.

Any ideas ?

Ta.

It's not the default setting but possibly a non Canon lens that isn't recognised or giving out the wrong info.

You can use ExifTool to change the EXIF data - I've uploaded it to Mediafire. Linky.

I've already set it up for the GUI interface, etc, and doesn't install in Windows in any way, so all you need to do is extract it somewhere, then create a shortcut from ExifToolGUI.exe in the extracted folder to the desktop.

Once you run it, just browse to the folder with the images where you want to change the EXIF and select the images.

Click the small arrow under the EXIF button to change, and then the camera setting tab for lens data.

Don't think it works on a Mac, but don't quote me on that.... :)

Thanks very much DekHog.
I'll give that a try when I get home.

Cheers
