Photoshop would be best for me as I have it. Do you not have the original copy? I take it it is your poster to edit.
 
Be careful what you download. When I tried a free version a few months ago, one managed to get malware through my internet security and was a pain to remove. Applies to all free downloads but some reason PDF writers seemed worse than most.
 
Blubeam is safe, I use it on my work PC and they are very strict on what goes on the machines.
 
Thanks for the replies, the original file isn't available. Just tried in elements but its hard work deleting the text I need to change using the quick selection tool, there is a ghost of some text on print. Will try a free trial.
