I have an issue with a load of raw files. The time is perfect but there is a good 200 our so that have a date in the future. Therefore when lr 3 organises them it does it in date and then time order.

I found a way to change the date but you have to manually change the time. I have a feeling that I may have to change the date one by one but would like to do it in bulk.

Anyone know of a way to change the date taken but leave the time intact? I'm on windows 7.

Thanks

There are windows utilities out there to change the creation date for files. LR has an option to change the pictures time/date to the file creation time/date so it might do it if you edit the files datestamps with a utility first.

Google gave me this one but I know nothing about it...http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/bulk_file_changer.html

You can do the datetime shift over a batch of images in LR3 also. I did it when I had load of images from other people who hadn't set the date on their camera at all. Think it's just a case of selecting the images, then Metadata=> Edit Capture time...

Just make sure you have a backup of the images though as I don't think you can undo this if you much it up!
