Hi all!
Been out having a practice run at some sunsets .
My question is on an image like this would you remove the electrical posts and lines?
Also I took many shots this evening but due to where I was standing there is quite a lots of foreground in the images is it best to remove them and just keep the water and island in the image?

Oops sorry the code from flicker does not seem to be going in can anyone help as I have tried several times now and it is not working?

I try to avoid them where possible of course. In this image I suggest they should stay.
 
I'm gonna disagree. I find the poles very distracting- even when I'm trying to look at the sun my eye is drawn back to them. Best bet is to do a rough and quick erase job of one or both poles and just see what works. I'd try lightening the foreground a little too to balnce things up.
 
Thank you everyone this is all very helpful as I have quite a few to wade through but really need the practise :)
I am open to all suggestions as that is how I learn.
I think I will try both versions and see how it looks.


Is anyone else having problems getting an image from flicker using the code to appear?
I just keep getting a box with IMG in it

You need to select bbcode rather than html
 
Ok it has been a while I was using the insert photo image and pasting in there instead of right into this box DUH! got it now
 
The posts actually give something for the eye to look at other than the off kilter grass and the obviously the sun. I find the slope of the grass more distracting, but lovely sunset and misty Aarran
